blanket100aYou may choose any design you like as long as it states “100th birthday” somewhere in your embroidery text.  Our most popular 100th birthday design is: Floral Scroll – Happy Birthday – Neutral Colour Palette, shown here.

Did you also know that milestone birthdays and anniversaries can also be recognized by various levels of Canadian government?  When someone turns 100 you can have the Governor General of Canada and The Queen send birthday greetings.  The queen!  That’s cool!  And this tradition is not new.  The website says: “Since 1917 the Sovereign has sent greetings to Canadians for milestone birthdays of 100, 105 and over, and to couples celebrating 60, 65, 70, 75 or more years of marriage.”  You can find all of the details about these special greetings. You can also receive greetings from the Prime Minister.

This customer ordered the throw for her great Aunt.  She told us this: My great Aunt Gladys was born in Verdun, Quebec on July 5, 1915. We will be celebrating her life work on July 2,2015 with the assistant Mayor of Longueuil Quebec making a presentation of certificates from the Mayor’s office as well as the certificate from Prime Minister Harper and Lt. Govenor of Quebec’s certificate. We are very proud of our aunt and are very blessed to have her with us.

If someone close to you is about to celebrate their 100th birthday, please contact us today so we can offer you a free embroidered blanket, customized just for your special person.
