Boss’s Day Gift Ideas

by

Boss’s Day is Thursday, October 16th, 2014.   Traditionally, it’s a day for employees to thank their bosses for being kind and fair throughout the year.  Boss’s Day is also a great opportunity to strengthen the bond between an employer and employee. Most offices and companies celebrate Boss’ Day by giving small tokens of appreciation such as a card, gift, treats etc.   We’ve put together a few gift ideas for celebrating Boss’s Day that any Boss will appreciate!

1.  Personalized Pens –  An engraved pen is a great, practical gift for any boss.  Have the pen personalized with their name, initials or office nick name engraved for a personal touch.

2. Business Card Cases – Personalized business card cases make the perfect gift for any boss that is always networking.   Impress your boss with an engraved motivational quote.

3.  Awards – Do you have the best boss?  Make it official with an engraved award!  This will be a gift your boss will proudly display in their office.

4.  Keychains –  Engrave a keychain with your boss’s name, an inside joke or inspirational quote for a practical gift any boss would appreciate.

To help increase awareness of ALS, Bill O’Connor, the President of Things Engraved accepted the Ice Bucket Challenge and a donation has been made.  We’ve nominated fellow Canadian retailers; Hudson’s Bay, Canadian Tire and Roots Canada to accept the challenge as well!

Of course it’s always fun to watch someone dump a bucket of ice and water over their head, but we can’t forget about the purpose behind the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.   ALS, also referred to as Lou Gehrig’s disease, is a rapidly progressive and fatal neuro-muscular disease.  Approximately 3,000 Canadians live with ALS.  Help bring awareness to ALS by participating in the Ice Bucket Challenge and/or make a donation here.

Watch Bill, President of Things Engraved complete the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge:
ALS has no known cure or effective treatment yet. For every person diagnosed with ALS, a person living with ALS dies. Approximately 2,500 – 3,000 Canadians currently live with this fatal disease. – See more at: http://westcentralonline.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=14624&Itemid=33#sthash.9Y22F65X.dpuf

Behind the scenes at HQ – Part 1

by

Yes, you go into our stores and our friendly store associates are there to help you and really serve as the face to our company.   For those of you who use our website to shop, you don’t really get a chance to see any Things Engraved faces.   Let’s change that today!

Behind the scenes of store operations and getting gifts delivered to our online customers, there is a group of people working at Things Engraved’s head quarters, here in Kitchener, Ontario.  Here are some photos from around the office; offices, work spaces, products under consideration, our photo-lab, our front lobby, our mail-room, and if you look closely you’ll see some future gifts, available for purchase this coming Christmas season!
