To help increase awareness of ALS, Bill O’Connor, the President of Things Engraved accepted the Ice Bucket Challenge and a donation has been made.  We’ve nominated fellow Canadian retailers; Hudson’s Bay, Canadian Tire and Roots Canada to accept the challenge as well!

Of course it’s always fun to watch someone dump a bucket of ice and water over their head, but we can’t forget about the purpose behind the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.   ALS, also referred to as Lou Gehrig’s disease, is a rapidly progressive and fatal neuro-muscular disease.  Approximately 3,000 Canadians live with ALS.

Watch Bill, President of Things Engraved complete the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge:
ALS has no known cure or effective treatment yet. For every person diagnosed with ALS, a person living with ALS dies. Approximately 2,500 – 3,000 Canadians currently live with this fatal disease. – See more at: http://westcentralonline.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=14624&Itemid=33#sthash.9Y22F65X.dpuf
